“I have had the opportunity and pleasure of working with Jordan Deglan on a fairly complex Wastewater Project, where he was contracted to install and connect that system, meeting compliance with Metro Vancouver’s legislated requirement for wastewater discharge.
The system comprised of two large concrete tanks, a 12 cubic meter and a 3 cubic meter unit (volume) that were buried under an existing industrial driveway. The existing wastewater system required connections to be made into the new system, at the same time maintaining the integrity or the old system until the final connections were made. The connections and final cut-over was completed quickly and without interruption to our industrial operation. The scope of the project also required the provision for a fairly complex treatment system to be connected to the submerged tanks from a Seacan (above ground) housing a treatment system and associated controls. All the placement of PVC conduit for all electrical supplies as well as control signal lines and chemical treatment lines to the Seacan and from Seacan to the wastewater tanks was prepared installed and buried underground by Jordan. Within the Seacan the installation of a large hot water tank, tempering valves and pressure regulator was required (legislated) in order to supply a safety shower and eye-wash station. This system required a large volume of water (90 litres per minute), which also meant some extensive trenching and hot tap connections to be made directly into the main water supply line supplying our industrial building. This was also completed without interruption to our industrial operation.
Jordan was extremely neat, accurate, thorough and professional throughout every part of the project. He took care of all the plumbing permits and subsequent inspections in order to meet the legislated requirements for the City of Delta and Metro Vancouver.
We are now operating in compliance with all current legislation and wastewater discharge permits.
A very successful project that would not have been possible without Jordan’s very valuable input and dedication to the detailed completion within the determined timeframes.
