About Deglan Mechanical

Deglan Mechanical is a full service plumbing and gasfitting company owned and operated by Jordan (Jordie) Deglan. Jordan is a fully certified Red Seal Plumber and Gas Contractor that started in the piping trades in 2007. What sets Jordan apart from his competitors is his broad building knowledge and diverse construction experience, his ability to work efficiently and effectively alongside other trades, and his commitment to doing the job right—every time. Jordan is upfront, honest, and committed to providing the best service possible for every client. He takes pride in his ability to save his clients money on every job he does. By being open and honest about all the short-term and long-term costs, his clients are able to make informed decisions at every turn.

Our Story

Jordie was fortunate to be brought up in construction growing up with his father’s excavating business in Langley that later laid the foundation for his construction career. After completing his education in business while playing baseball, he found that he still wanted to work with his hands and learn more about construction. He started with a small geothermal heating company doing gas and sheet metal installations but a few months later, after taking the installers course, he soon realized that they were not installing the geothermal systems in the ground properly! He quickly moved on to a reputable plumbing and gas fitting contractor in the Fraser Valley that specialized in new construction projects. Because of their attention to detail, efficiency, and knowledge of the plumbing/gas code, he blossomed as an installer. He vividly remembers ripping out work as an apprentice simply because it ‘looked ugly’; he realizes now that these quality skills result in long lasting, problem free systems.
Jordie’s apprenticeship started by installing cast iron plumbing in a four level apartment building, then moved on to multiple single family spec home construction projects, and then doing multiple townhouse projects. After completing his plumbing red seal and gas certifications he moved to Kelowna in 2014 where he worked for a plumbing construction company doing much of the same plus custom homes. After starting a family, in 2015, he moved back to Langley to start Deglan Mechanical where the learning really began. He did new homes, renovations, commercial tenant improvements, septic systems, and excavating. Jordie and his family finally had the opportunity to move back to Kelowna in 2020 and are here to stay. Since moving back to Kelowna he has added service to his skillset but is mainly focused on his core business of plumbing and gas renovations and construction.
Jordie has realized that typically you get the best service and value in construction from smaller companies because of their personalized service and low overhead. Although one day he is looking to grow his company and is looking forward to teaching others, right now he is focused on helping each individual customer so that they do the advertising for him. Regardless, Jordie and Deglan Mechanical will always follow the golden rule “Treat others how you would want to be treated.”

I have used Deglan Mechanical for last few years during my house foundation build in Langley. We moved a house to our property and had to put in all new sanitary plus supply lines for the foundation.

We also had to put in new natural gas supply lines. Jordan was able to do all this work from rough in to doing the final work. He was on time and stayed until the job was done plus answered all my questions.

I would highly recommend him for all my plumbing/gas fitting needs. Thanks Jordan!

Jordan, from Deglan Mechanical installed a new Combi heating and Water unit in my home.

At all times he was extremely courteous and patient as he thoroughly explained the advantages of this system versus others. He was knowledgeable and meticulous in his work, he took his time to check that everything was installed as it should be.

The clean up was amazing, old furnace and piping all cleared away and no mess left anywhere. Jordan has even followed up to make sure everything is working correctly and to see if I had any concerns.

I am pleased with my new heating system and very happy with the work of Deglan Mechanical. I have no hesitation in recommending Jordan.

I have had the opportunity and pleasure of working with Jordan Deglan on a fairly complex Wastewater Project, where he was contracted to install and connect that system, meeting compliance with Metro Vancouver’s legislated requirement for wastewater discharge.

The system comprised of two large concrete tanks, a 12 cubic meter and a 3 cubic meter unit (volume) that were buried under an existing industrial driveway. The existing wastewater system required connections to be made into the new system, at the same time maintaining the integrity or the old system until the final connections were made. The connections and final cut-over was completed quickly and without interruption to our industrial operation.
The scope of the project also required the provision for a fairly complex treatment system to be connected to the submerged tanks from a Seacan (above ground) housing a treatment system and associated controls. All the placement of PVC conduit for all electrical supplies as well as control signal lines and chemical treatment lines to the Seacan and from Seacan to the wastewater tanks was prepared installed and buried underground by Jordan.
Within the Seacan the installation of a large hot water tank, tempering valves and pressure regulator was required (legislated) in order to supply a safety shower and eye-wash station. This system required a large volume of water (90 litres per minute), which also meant some extensive trenching and hot tap connections to be made directly into the main water supply line supplying our industrial building. This was also completed without interruption to our industrial operation.

Jordan was extremely neat, accurate, thorough and professional throughout every part of the project. He took care of all the plumbing permits and subsequent inspections in order to meet the legislated requirements for the City of Delta and Metro Vancouver.
We are now operating in compliance with all current legislation and wastewater discharge permits.
A very successful project that would not have been possible without Jordan’s very valuable input and dedication to the detailed completion within the determined timeframes.

I would have no hesitation in choosing Jordan again on any similar project. An extremely good outcome.

Thanks for your dedication.
